“Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” – 2 Corinthians 2:14 (KJV)
Triumphing always is the heritage of every believer. Our text clearly states that God always causes us to triumph in Christ, irrespective of the circumstances and difficulties. Your victory is never dependent on the weightiness of your situation. That is why a portion of the mission statement of our ministry reads thus: “Here we do not look at the bigness of our problem but at the Bigness of our God.” This is because we know that our God is mightier than whatever problem we would ever face in life. Having this understanding will put the devil on the run because he will be at a loss as to what to do with you. Child of God, know that victory is your portion. Triumph is your portion! You will not see shame because defeat is not your portion. The book of 1John 5:4 declares: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith” (KJV).
You are a World Overcomer! The book of 1John 4:4 also tells us: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world!” (KJV). You have the Greater One living on the inside of you. How can you lose? This is the mentality you must put on as a believer. The book of Philippians 2:5 says “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (KJV). The overcomer’s mentality was what Christ had. That was why no matter the challenge, He knew that defeat, failure, and disappointment were never an option.
Beloved, the Greater One lives on the inside. Meditate on that! When challenges and difficulties stare you in the face, don’t back down. Don’t retreat! Square up your shoulders and serve that situation a quit notice. You are a World Overcomer! You will Overcome! Get ready to testify!
