”And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” – Genesis 32:26 KJV

A point came in Jacob’s life that he had to let go of things. He said, God, I will settle it with you. I will not let you go unless you bless me. He now realised that what he had before now was not “the blessing.” He wrestled with an angel. A mortal man wrestled with a spirit man and defeated the spirit man. Why? Because he was persistent. He was determined. He was daring.

Do you want to play in the big league? Then you must be daring! You must be daring to enter the ring with a lion. There are many lions out there. But what you have in you is greater.

He said bless me. In the course of the fight, daybreak was coming, his leg was broken but he hung in there. I won’t let go until you bless me. What is your name? My name is Jacob! In other words, he was saying that “I am a supplanter! I have tried to play all kinds of games to arrive at where I am, and I am tired of that. There is something much bigger for my life than what I see now. I need that for which you have raised me.”

God didn’t raise you for mediocrity. In your field, you can be the best and stand out and still prosper in that field. And the angel said I have been waiting for you for 20 years. Now that you understand that there is a bigger picture than peanuts, your name is changed. You are a prince! You have power with God and with men. By the time you leave here, you will notice that there is a fresh power and anointing upon your life. You have power with God and with men.

That was the turning point for Jacob. Every other thing as far as he was concerned was nothing. He was ready to turn loose all those things because of the Great Grace he had connected to. Today, I challenge you to see the bigger picture and let go of the mundane.
