TOPIC: Represent Jesus Wherever You Are (TREM Devotional 26 May 2022)
“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” 1 Corinthians 12:27 (KJV)
Wisdom For The Day MESSAGE:
The church is not building, the church is you and the Spirit of God is in us. I want to drive this home. Now, let’s look at the book of Ephesians 5:30: “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and his bones.”. This scripture is showing us who we are. We are the Church.
So, when you go outside the church building and misbehave, you are dishonoring the body because Jesus Himself is the Head of the Body. “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” (Colossians 1:18. KJV).

Christ is the Head of the Body which is the Church. The Head and the Body cannot be separated. Christ cannot be in the body and you are living anyhow. Christ cannot be loving, and you are busy hating. We are the body and He is the head. As He is, so are we here on earth now. Now not in the future. Here now! Can you imagine what will happen if all believers who name the name of the Lord will represent Jesus in all their human endeavour? Our societies will be completely transformed. It is important, therefore, that you represent Jesus wherever you find yourself. “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:” (1 Peter 2:9 KJV).
We are sent to show the world who Christ is. The world can never know Christ except through us. We show the world who Jesus is by following His example. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38 KJV)
That is what is expected of a church. We are expected to go about doing good. So, I want to ask you: Do you do good? Do we see you only doing good in the church building? How do you conduct yourself outside the church building? That is the real deal! We are called to make a formidable impact in our world of influence for the Kingdom of God.
