“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
The world we live in has been designed by the devil to intimidate you, put you down, disgrace you, bind you, and hinder God’s purpose for your life. But the God that has called you has equally equipped you to be able to confront your confrontations. He has called you to attack your attackers. He has called you to overtake your overtakers. He has actually called you to reveal His glory on earth. You are not meant to be ridiculed, disgraced or humiliated by the world. He called you that you may show the world the way, because you are the one with the Light.
The world doesn’t have the light! You are the light of the world. You are the salt of the earth. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, a holy nation, set aside to show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light. Beloved, you are not ordinary! When you became a believer, something powerful happened in your life. God chose you to accomplish the impossible. He called you to play in the big league. He did not call you to be frustrated, discouraged, intimidated and confused in the world. He did not call you to hide in the crowd. He did not call you to hide under the table. He called you for something more powerful. He called you to stay in covenant with him to establish His kingdom on earth.
As you prepare for the coming year, plan big. Be full of expectations. Enter into the year with your shoulder high and expect to shine as light in a dark word.
By the authority of heaven, I declare that you will walk tall in your world. You will not see shame. You will not bow down your head in defeat. Year 2021 will answer to you and you will reveal God’s glory in your world. Compliments of the season.
