TOPIC: The Blood Purchased A Sound Mind For You (TREM Devotional 31 August 2025)
“And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!” – Matthew 27:29 (KJV)
MESSAGE:
Beloved, the crown of thorns was cruelly pressed upon Jesus’ head. Its sharp points pierced His scalp, and blood began to flow. Why did He shed blood from His head? It was for your mind. The blood that flowed from His head purchased for you a sound mind.
God desires you to be mentally whole, strong, and sharp. You are not a failure, neither are you an accident. Scripture declares: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV).
This means you are capable of excellence. You don’t have to settle for mediocrity, second place, or failure. You are the head and not the tail; above only and never beneath (Deuteronomy 28:13).
You have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). And Christ can never fail. He is always sharp, wise, and victorious. As He is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17). Therefore, you are destined for success. You can pass that exam, you can ace that interview, you can develop solutions, create innovations, and prosper in your endeavors, because you have a sound mind.
The Bible says: “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” – Psalm 1:3. That is who you are in Christ.
The creativity of God flows in you. His excellence is alive in you. You are not a pushover or a nonentity; you are an answer to your generation. The blood from His head guarantees your mental alertness, creativity, smartness, and ability to excel.
