TOPIC: There Is A Way Of Escape (TREM Devotional 6 October 2021)
“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
Today, the level of corruption in our world is so high. There is moral perversion, depravity, fraud and all sorts of crime. The Word of God gives us insight into how we can triumph in spite of all these. Peter writing under the influence of the Holy Spirit said something so powerful: “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4 KJV). This means that God has made provision for us to escape and not be overtaken by the corruption in the world.
You know some people think that our world will get better. They probably are not reading the Bible. If you look at the image of Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel chapter 2, it started with quality government which was represented by gold. Then it began to depreciate to silver, then bronze. It depreciated downwards to iron and then suddenly to clay until a stone that was cut from a mountain came from nowhere and leveled it.
So, this tells us that the government of this world will continue to depreciate in value. That is why when you turn to the media, there is no good news; it is all bad news. How do you plan to survive this degradation of the earth and its systems when you don’t study the Bible, read or listen to materials that will edify you? Are you looking up to this earth to bring deliverance to you? Know that earthly things cannot bring deliverance because the earth is corrupt.
You must look beyond the natural into the Spirit to receive what will bring deliverance to you and make you stand out among equals.
