“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” – Ephesians 1:7 KJV

Sin is the mother of all tragedies. If the issue of sin is not dealt with, you cannot receive from God. Even when the blessings of God are being offered to you, you will disqualify yourself. Colossians 1:13-14 says: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son, in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” That means every believer right now is in the Kingdom of His Son.

Many Christians believe that God has only forgiven them of the sins they committed before they became believers. So, when they sin after salvation, they believe God has to forgive them afresh, and the circle continues. So, God has to forgive sin, again and again, one after the other. That is the mentality of several believers because that is how we have been taught over the years. The effect is that every day you are confessing sin. But the Bible says “In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” Jesus died over 2000 years ago. And I am sure you are not up to 2000 years old. Therefore, you didn’t have a past sin other than the sin of Adam, which is the one God forgave. So, if he has forgiven our sins even before we were born, that means even the future sins we will commit have already been forgiven. This is the real hallmark of the Christian faith.

When you see godly men and women walking in liberty, power and victory, it is because they know they have been forgiven by God. They are not just thinking! They know it! That is the main clause of the new covenant. Hebrew 8:12 says, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Beloved, your victory in Christ over sin is permanent. Don’t let sin hinder you.
