TOPIC: What Are You Seeing? (TREM Devotional 7 April 2026)
“And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.” – Numbers 13:27 KJV
MESSAGE
Beloved, according to the scriptures, Moses sent spies into the Promised Land to assess its condition and possibilities. The land was good, just as God had promised. You see, when God makes a promise, He is not telling you what He will do but what He has already done and perfected.
Twelve spies were chosen to explore the land. They saw its richness, so much so that a single cluster of grapes was so large, it had to be carried by two men on a pole.
Then they returned with their report in Numbers 13:27-28: “And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. Nevertheless, the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.” (KJV)
They went there, they saw the land, they saw the milk, and they saw the cluster of grapes; just as God had said. The report should have stopped there. Yes, there were giants, but they went in and came out. The giants did not kill them.
They took the grapes; the giants did not stop them. They all went and came back, not one of the spies was lost in the land. But they were all preoccupied with a negative report.
Beloved, life is not one-sided. In anything you pursue in life, challenges and obstacles will arise. There are millionaires in every business. No matter how difficult any business may look, you will see somebody who broke through in that business.
Others may fail, but some are succeeding because they refuse to quit. Others probably would have been successful if they had not quit. You are not among those who will fail.
