“For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” Genesis 21:2 (KJV)

Faith on its own cannot work alone. It requires patience to manifest. A typical example in the bible is Abraham. God made a promise to Him, but he patiently waited for 25 years to experience the manifestation of that which was promised. I like the way the book of Romans 4:16-18 captures the experience of Abraham. “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be…” (KJV)

God was not looking at Abraham’s dead body, nor that of his wife, but the Word that has been spoken. Beloved, be patient with that Word because the Word will eventually produce in your life. Stop looking at the symptoms and situation of the country. Focus on what God has spoken concerning your life and patiently wait. Your change will come eventually.

In Romans 4:19-20, the bible declares: “and being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb; he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God”. (KJV)

Do you think it was easy to give glory to God when both his body and that of his wife were both dead? For you to have strength to give glory to God, you must be functioning from another world. That is patience. Glory to God!
