…Enlightens African Students on Career Choices

Leading continent’s first truly pan-African news channel, Television Continental (TVC), has launched its inaugural edition of TVC NEWS ‘On The Street Youth Summit’ for Secondary school students.

According to the news channel, the initiative sponsored by Google is geared towards engaging the African Youths as stakeholders in the development of the continent.

Speaking at the event which held at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, November 19, 2015, the Chief Executive Officer, TVC News, Nigel Parsons said that the summit is part of the news company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) engagements which are targeted towards projecting the strength, passion, dynamism and resilience of the African youth to the world.

Some of the erudite Speakers who delivered lectures on various career choices at the Summit, which was attended by over 300 students from the 20 Secondary schools alongside their Principals, Vice Principals and teachers, included Bankole Williams, Mojola Ola, Habibah Balogun, Jimi Tewe and Olusola Amusan.

‘On The Street’ is a weekly show that runs across TVC Television stations – TVC NEWS International, TVC NEWS Nigeria and TVC Entertainment – where people discuss issues affecting the average African youth.
