SERVICE OBJECTIVE:

  1. Understanding why we pray
  2. Understanding what prayer does

When the word ‘prayer’ is mentioned, different things come to the mind of different people

  1. For some people, prayer is what you do to fulfil a religious obligation.
  2. For other people, prayer is an avenue of making requests from God
  3. For a 3rd set of people, prayer is what to do in times of emergency

WHAT PRAYER IS ALL ABOUT:

  1. Prayer is the platform for the lubrication of the relationship between God and man (Matt. 6:9)
    The place of prayer is the place where we service our relationship with God
  2. Prayer is the platform or avenue of communion between man and God (Matt. 6:9)
    Prayer is an avenue for the sharing of thoughts, feelings and desires between man and God
    In prayer, God listens to you and you listen to God
  3. Prayer is the platform for the expression of worship, adoration and appreciation to the Almighty (Matt. 6:9b)
    You have not prayed well until you have thanked well
    If your thanking is not in place your asking is a waste of time
  4. Prayer is the platform for the enforcement of the Word, the Will and plans of God in the earth (Matt. 6:9-10)
    The place of prayer is the place where you ensure your life aligns with the will of God for your life
  5. Prayer is the platform or avenue for accessing Divine resources (Matt. 6:11)
    Prayer facilitates connectivity between humanity and Divinity, between Heaven and earth
  6. Prayer is the platform or the avenue for the renewal of consecration and the maintenance of sanctification (Matt. 6:12)
    The place of prayer is the place for forgiveness of sins and victory over sins
    You cannot be prayerful and be sinful at the same time
  7. Prayer is the platform or the avenue for the interception of enemy agenda and the frustration of evil orchestration (Matt. 6:13)
    It is the platform for forbidding the enemy from having his way

THE PROFIT OF PRAYER:

  1. Prayer increases spiritual fervency or intensity (Acts 1:14; 2:1-5)
    To be prayerful is to be fireful
  2. Prayer facilitates spiritual sensitivity, awareness, alertness and sharpness in the Spirit (Hab. 2:1; Acts 13:1-2)
    To toy with your prayer life is to toy with your physical life
  3. Prayer changes lives and destinies (Gen. 32:24-28; 1Chron. 4:9-10; Luke 9:29)
  4. Prayer facilitates open heavens (Luke 3:21)
    When the heavens have opened for you, no door can close against you
  5. Prayer facilitates the flow of the Oil (Zech. 4:12-14; Luke 3:21-22; 1Kings 17:1)
    Prayer is doorway to the world of the anointing, power and authority
    You can’t be prayerful and be powerless
    Anybody who kneels before can stand before any situation

WHEN IS PRAYER IMPACTFUL?

  1. When the focus is on God, not on self (Ps. 34:5)
  2. When it is robed with appreciation and worship (Matt. 6:9,13)
    No matter how bad it is, there is something you can thank God for
  3. When it is centred on the Will and the Word of God (Matt. 6:10; 1John 5:14; Hos. 14:2)
  4. When it is love-filled – love for God, love for man (1Cor. 2:9; Job 42:10; Mark 11:24-25)
    When there is hatred in the heart, prayer can’t be answered
  5. When it is faith-filled (Heb. 11:6)
    This is when both the reality and the reliability of God are not in doubt
    The testimony of another person can be your faith builder

PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your Word to me. I ask for a baptism of the grace for prayer and intercession, in Jesus’ Name.

PRAYERS FOR THE MEDIA PRACTITIONERS AND JOURNALISTS:
PRAYER FOCUS:

  1. That God pull you closer to Him
  2. That you will be a positive influence on your audience
  3. To positively navigate the country to our God-ordained destiny – integrity reporting, where we function to see how much construction can be done, not destruction.
    Father, draw them closer to Yourself in relationship. Help everyone of them to know You as Lord and Saviour, in Jesus’ Name.
    Father, use them as a positive influence on society, not negative, in Jesus’ Name.
    Father, help them to lead the Nation aright, in Jesus’ Name

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS FOR MEDIA PRACTITIONERS:

  • May God take you to the next level
  • You will not be cut short before your time of stranded on the road
  • Receive the grace to be globally respected
  • May the Lord use those in key positions to put in place standards for the next level

ANOINTING FOCUS (ISAIAH 10:27): OIL OF THE NEXT LEVEL

  • Every yoke on your neck and burden on your life tormenting your destiny, by reason of this anointing that yoke is broken!’
  • Whatever has kept your life on the same level, by reason of this anointing, that chain is broken!
  • Anybody with a physical sickness in your body, it is destroyed by fire!
  • Everyone battling with near success syndrome, by reason of this anointing, it is broken!
  • Within the next 7 days, God shall give you a visitation
  • The yoke of singleness is broken!
  • The yoke of barrenness is broken! Receive your children!
  • Everyone with a pressure on your mind, today, the pressure is over
  • Before this week is over, that troublesome court case shall be over in your favour!
  • Someone trusting God for a visa, it is released!

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

  • Maybe there is a negative statement the devil is trying to make around your life, around your seed, around your generation, my God is turning it around for your good!
  • Everything the devil organised for you and for your loved ones, today it is arrested!
  • God is about to enlarge your capacity! Jacob is about to become Israel
  • Your preservation is confirmed!

Lord Jesus, come into my life. I accept You as my Lord and Personal Saviour. I believe in my heart You died and rose from the dead to save me. Thank You Lord for saving me, in Jesus name Amen.
