The MESSAGE:

Look at this scripture very well: Matthew 10:1 (KJV) And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Listen, there is a power that casts out unclean spirits. There is a power that heals all manner of sicknesses. There is a power that heals all manner of diseases.

Meaning that there is a power that can bring joy to people. It is there in the Word of God. And it will be my joy that there will be somebody who will be here this morning who will say “I am tired of being tired. I am sick of being sick. I want the kind of power that will terrify the enemy. I want the kind of power that will make my words to be respected in heaven and in hell. I do not want to be a footmat of the enemy. I want to trample upon serpents and scorpions.” If that is the desire of your heart here this morning, shout a Jericho destroying Amen!

Intelligent people know the secret of power. Where there is power, there is no struggle. Elijah was going away. Elisha his servant had studied all his operations. He saw the way Elijah disgraced all the prophets of Baal. He saw the various miracles that he did, and he saw what was going on. And now Elijah was going away. So when he asked him “what is your request?” Elisha, a very intelligent man replied “I want a double portion of your power”. Because, he knew that he needed that double to survive. He knew the secret of power.

It is important, compulsory and crucial that we have the power of God in our lives. It is important and crucial that if at all you find yourself in a vehicle filled with kidnappers and ritual killers, you should be able to speak the words of power and render all of them blind.

I am praying for somebody here this morning: Power that will make you a terror to the kingdom of darkness, with a tenfold Amen, receive it in the name of Jesus!

Many many years back, thick darkness enveloped this nation; darkness so thick you could cut it with a knife. Somebody would give birth to 20 children but because of evil attacks, would bury 19 of them. Hunters would shoot animals in the bush, get there and find a dead human being. Witches would fly in the afternoon. You dare not call them witches. In some places, you could not even whistle at night. You would call those witches “senior citizens”, because calling them witches would land you in trouble. It was terrible.

There were many forbidden forests where nobody could enter. There were many forbidden rivers where you would see big fishes but nobody would touch it. The whole people were under the domain and control of people who were invested with dark powers. Things were getting upside down. There was darkness all over the place. People were killing themselves like house flies. There were churches, but the churches had no power. People would attend those churches and still go back to their idols when they returned from church.

And some of the churches had the image of a white woman, so to them, their idol and the image were the same thing. There were terrible diseases and these things were going on like this, until men received power and confronted them; until God began to raise up people like the great Apostle Joseph Babalola who began to enter into forbidden forests, set captives free, break bondages and the rest.

It would be a tragedy if you die as a powerless Christian. It would be a tragedy if you did not do what God wanted you to do while you were on earth. It would be a tragedy if people are planting all kinds of things around you, and they are working against you. You need power. It was when these men with power came, that they cleared the atmosphere we are seeing now. If not for the revival of those days, many of the professors we have now in the university teaching that there is no God, would have died in their mother’s wombs. They were environmental transformers.

Many of us are here; God has raised you as a watchman in your family as the prophet of the family. But instead of being the prophet of the family, you are the parrot of the family. This cannot continue. You and I can see now that the environment is toxic. You need toxic prayer and power to confront those powers that are facing us now. This is why I am teaching these things now. It is not a question of bombs and guns and terrorism, no. It is a question of believers acquiring power. They do not have to show up anywhere. They decree. They uproot. They plant. They scatter, without leaving where they are standing.

May you become a holy trouble maker, in the name of Jesus.

May your words keep your enemy so busy that they will have no time for you again, in the name of Jesus. May your words paralyse every enemy assigned against you, in the name of Jesus.

This is a serious matter. What most Christians do not know is this: when that power comes upon you, you are the first beneficiary. You first of all break your own yokes, before going to help others. It is important, compulsory that we must have the power of God in our lives and manifest the power of God in our generation. It is important and necessary that we must move in this world. But then there is plenty of powerlessness in our generation. It is a lamentable tragedy that our generation is so powerless and the enemy is riding on it.

The reason you see occultic people, kidnappers, ritual killers get very scared when they confront MFM members is because they know the power in the Mountain of fire and Miracles Ministries and the missile prayers. The terror of God will be on you when you have the power of God; your enemies will see you and be scared.

I am praying this prayer again: Power to terrify your enemies, receive that power, in the name of Jesus.

What is responsible for our powerlessness? There are 7 main reasons:

1. Sin: the more sinful your life is, the more powerless you become spiritually. You cannot be committing fornication, drinking, smoking, keep malice and all kinds of things and think you can exercise the power of God: it is not possible. Sin de-anoints you. It reduces your spiritual temperature.
2. Lukewarmness: the deeper your devotion, the more powerful your manifestation. Devotion is key to manifestation. It is key to demonstrating the power of God. Your devotion to God attracts your power base spiritually. Getting far away from God equals nearness to disaster. Closeness to God equals closeness to power. Even if you are not on fire, if you are close to fire, your body will be hot. Some are lukewarm in their church attendance, others in their Bible reading, lukewarm in their quiet time and in things of the Spirit.

Some will spend 10 hours talking, watching TV, reading newspapers, looking at Facebook, going on social media, listening to all the available gossips and drinking the evil wine from there, but only 10 minutes for prayer and devotion. Some will grab a magazine, read all the articles including the obituaries; but one page of the Bible, they begin to fall asleep. How will you overcome the powers of darkness like this? Are you not aware that there are many occultic people fasting for 201 days and sleeping in the cemetery because they want power?

Or you think it is only Christians who fast? No. They know the power of fasting. They fast too. Lukewarm christians everywhere. It is a serious problem.

3. Ignorance. Secret fuels strength. What you know determines how strong you are. Mysteries are always behind you being able to master a thing. Only one mystery that you know can end all your problems. That is why the Bible says “the secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him”. And also, “God does nothing except He reveals His secrets to His servants the prophets. Power is to have access to the mysteries of God. So, spiritual ignorance is powerlessness.
4. Timidity: Inadequate aggression. Lack of spiritual violence. Inadequate pursuit of power. Power belongs to fighters beloveth, not quitters. We had a Yoruba teacher those days who used to tell us “it is he who runs that is pursued”. Running away shows you are scared. But then when you stand, you are ready to give a fight. That was the first shock of Goliath. He was used to appearing and people would run away. But for the first time in his life, somebody ran towards him.

I am praying for somebody here today: that Goliath of your father’s house, that Goliath in your family compound, that Goliath at the front of your shop, that Goliath fighting your career, with a ten fold amen, they must die in the name of Jesus!

So what am I saying? It takes the fighter’s spirit to have a winning life. The Bible says “fight the good fight of faith”. Faith is a fight. Fighters are winners, quitters are losers. No wonder the Bible says “as from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent taketh it by force”. The mystery is this: the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence. Suffereth means allows. So in the kingdom of heaven, violence is allowed. There is no space for gentlemen. They are looking for people who will take it by force. They are looking for people who will wake up at night and point their fingers and speak wasting words to all the creatures flying about.

The kingdom of God needs people who can demonstrate the power of God, not those who are afraid. Many people are so scared. Some are afraid that if they make a pronouncement, it will not come to pass and so they keep quiet. If you make a pronouncement and it does not come to pass, go back, consecrate yourself and make another pronouncement, because the Bible says “where the word of a king is, there is power”.

5. Biblical illiteracy, weak Bible reading, weak meditation, weak understanding of the Word of God. I expect you as a member of MFM to at least read the Bible through in 2 years. All the memory verses I gave you to learn in a year, if you are serious you can learn in 6 months or even 1 year.
6. Prayerlessness. This does not mean you are not praying at all, it means inadequate prayers. Weak prayers. Non sustained prayers. Lack of vigil prayers. Praying without concentration. Praying fireless prayers.
7. Conformity. Many christians conform to this world. Conformity is the tendency to fall into the crowd. You want to do everything the world is doing. You want to conform, you do not want people to say you are strange or laugh at you. You are not ready to be a disciple of Jesus. To the glory of God, those who were laughing at me when I got born again and saying “how can a handsome man like you be behaving like a fool like this?” are rushing to Christ now. A lot of them are now in Prayer City. Some were bold enough to walk up to me and say “yes, you are the one who saw the future, we did not see anything”.

When they were running around with girlfriends, I was reading. When they were attending their parties I was reading my book and reading my Bible.

Conformity is a serious problem which is why the Bible says “Be not conformed to this world”. Conformity is that tendency not to desire anything different from what everybody else is experiencing. This is a tragedy. You just want to be copying people.

Listen beloveth: if you think you are clever, you will soon find somebody who is cleverer than you. If you think you are a manipulator, you hear the Word of God and do what you want to do, you do not comply; very soon somebody who is more manipulative than you will come against you one day.

You should not conform with this world. What are you going to do with stolen goods? Stolen certificates?

A Stolen identity? A stolen wife? A stolen husband?

Woman, why did you move into a man’s house when there was no engagement, no introduction, no marriage; do you not think that you are a fool? You are a stolen wife and your husband is a thief. What are you doing with stolen children? How will you fulfil your mandate when you are just complying with the world? Powerlessness rendered a lot of talented people in the dustbin, because they come, people see that they are talented, they are good, then envious enemies gather around them, and put them in the dustbin because of powerlessness.

Many visions will collapse unless they are aided and bombarded with power and prayer. This is where we are going to stop today on The Way to Power. The Lord is calling upon you today to be a warrior in the market place, to acquire power that the enemy will respect, to get to a level in your life that when you appear, darkness disappears.

3. Powers that have vowed to destroy me, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.
4. Powers of Goliath in my family, die in the name of Jesus.
5. Powers assigned to harden my problems, your time is up, die in the name of Jesus.
6. Witchcraft sponsored infirmity, I am not your candidate, backfire in the name of Jesus.
7. O God of performance, perform wonders in my life, in the name of Jesus.
8. Drinkers of blood, eaters of flesh, in my family, before 48 hours, if you do not repent, dry up, in the name of Jesus.
9. Battles that mocked my parents, you cannot mock me, therefore: die! in the name of Jesus.
10. Powers raging to spoil my testimonies, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.
11. Power that cannot be insulted, come upon my life now, in the name of Jesus.
12. Powers gathered to celebrate my defeat, die in the name of Jesus.
13. Powers using my destiny to play games, run mad and die, in the name of Jesus.
14. Powers fighting to close the doors of my breakthroughs, your time is up, die! in the name of Jesus.
