A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: When The Unexpected Happen, Give Thanks

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. Luke 17:14

In Mathematics, there is what is called, Whole number and Fraction. ‘Whole number means the totality while fraction means a part of something. And someone said, when you pray and God answered, it’s means God has given you a fraction of what you have asked Him. But when you decide to thank Him, He gives you the whole, that is, the totality of your request. When Jesus asked the ten lepers to go showed themselves to the priest, on their way they discovered they were healed. With the unexpected visitation by God, probably, others got excited and failed to do the needful, but one of them (a stranger) refused to be carried away by excitement but returned to give thanks to the GREAT HEALER. Jesus asked where are the nine? Jesus said to him because you returned to give thanks, instead of fraction, take the whole because your faith (Thanksgiving) has made thee whole (has given you the totality of your healing) Luke 17:15-19

When the unexpected happened, why do we not give thanks?

1) Over Excitement. Over excitement could be a reason for our ingratitude to God. 2) Forgetfulness. To avoid this, immediately you receive anything from God, return all the glory back to Him. 3) Child-like Attitude. Like a child who fails to realize that you bought what he/she is hiding at the back, we must not try to keep away from God what He has given to us. When the unexpected happens, give thanks.

* May ingratitude not Rob us of the whole blessings in Jesus Name.
