“Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving; withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds; that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” – Colossians 4:2-5
ny time spent on spiritual involvement is time invested. When you choose to invest your time in spiritual labor; your profit is guaranteed. The Bible says:
“In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.” – Proverbs 14:23
You can make 2016 your year of ceaseless profit by engaging in ceaseless spiritual labor. For instance out text says “…Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” Those that are without are those that are yet to experience the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ; those who are yet to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and savior of their lives.
Walking in wisdom towards unbelievers is making the most of any contact with them to tell them that Jesus Christ loves them. It is taking advantage of any time you have in contact with them to tell them the good news of salvation. The Bible says when we do this we are redeeming the time; we are regaining the time.
Therefore, it is time to always be armed with salvation messages in our mouth; soul winning materials in our bags and pockets as we go about our daily activities so as to “…walk with wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time”.
