A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. Proverbs 17:22

Have you ever been in a place where people are mourning their dead, especially when the death happened only recently? I am sure you know that you can’t dare to laugh there. If not you will be mocking the people. But away for there, you can have a good laugh and be cheerful. Some folks live their lives like it is all bad news they’ve got. They are never cheerful, no sense of humour, they are just up tight and too serious like they always have a dead relation to mourn, and when people get to be cheerful and have a good laugh around them, they feel they are been mocked at. Well, that’s not how the Lord wants us to live our lives. He wants us to be cheerful.

We are part of the family of the most happiest people on earth. The Lord knows how much good it is for us to be cheerful. So, He spoke through the Teacher in Proverbs 17:22: “a cheerful heart is good medicine….” Most folks who are up tight and always look sad end up not living a healthy life. They get sick and weak. We must be cheerful always. Laugh sometimes like no man’s business. Laughter strengthens your immune system, boosts your mood, diminishes pain, and protects you from the damaging effects of stress. Laughter releases a chemical in the body called endorphin. Endorphins promote an overall sense of well-being and can even temporarily relieve pain, according to research.

Furthermore, laughter improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow, which can help protect you against a heart attack and other cardiovascular problems. It also helps you burn calories. The truth is, you owe yourself to have a good laugh every now and then and be cheerful. Don’t sap your strength with a broken spirit. Find ways to enjoy humour. Spend time with people that make you laugh. Don’t be up tight. Be cheerful. He happy, laugh as hard as you can. Always wear a smile on your handsome and beautiful faces. Be cheerful!

Keep winning daily.

Wise Action:

Find and create avenues for you to be cheerful. Be deliberate about it. Cut yourself from people who won’t make you cheerful and laugh as hard as you can. Be around folks that have a lively countenance and a good sense of humour.
