Topic: Be The Difference [10/3/2016]
Text: Matthew 5:14
As sons of God, there is an expected level of decorum that should be known with us. For us, the stakes are high, they are skyrocketed by our affiliation with God, and it should be so. People’s expectations of us are placed in the bracket of God, and it should be so because we are gods (John 10:30). So where ever we are present, there is an aura we bring with us.
Jesus demonstrated such aura in John 8:2-11, when He had an encounter with the scribes and Pharisees who brought a woman taken in adultery to him. He was decorous and calm, he brought a solution unimaginable to the challenge that was presented by them. His presence was the difference between life and death for that women.
So also our presence in any place should bring calm and solutions to any challenge. We should be the go-to person. We should be the difference. We should be the solution that they seek, not the problem they are trying to get rid off. Being the difference is in our DNA, we are of a different breed (James 1:18). All their expectations of us, we are capable of meeting. And with this attitude, we will be turning many unto righteousness.
Be the difference and keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for making me Your representative everywhere I go. I stand in that capacity to be the difference at all times, proffering solutions to challenges, and bringing calm into every situation just like You, in Jesus name. Amen.
