Topic: Beauty In Broken Pieces [Sunday, 10th September 2017]

The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command… Hebrews 1:3

Flawed? Yes. Perfect? Not by a mile. Loved by God? Absolutely. Candidate of God’s glory? Absolutely. One thing is sure about God, He specializes in making broken pieces, broken lives, broken emotions, into beautiful pieces, lives, and emotions. The first men Jesus took in as His disciples were men not only full of sin but they were failures. They were men whose fishing business just suffered a major setback. But in their broken and ugly lives, Jesus saw pure beauty. He saw heirs of His glory.

Maybe your life is a perfect reflection of ugly, you might have gone through things that have left you broken and you’ve lost all enthusiasm and belief that you can make something out of your life. Guess what? You are the perfect person God is searching out for. The Lord said in Isaiah 61:3 that “to all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the lord has planted for his own glory.” God wants to make a beautiful story out of your broken life. He does not care how much dirt you carry. He will pick you up, clean you up and lift you up.

You are his son or daughter, and you “radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God” (Hebrew 1:3). You might not be radiating His glory and character right now, but He is not going to discard you. The dirt of the earth might be covering the gold that God has made you to be. But don’t worry, just allow Him clean you up and put His best royal robe on you, just like He did the prodigy son. Just like the potter does, He will turn your broken vessel into a vessel of immense beauty and relevance. He will make you the centre of attention because of the beauty He will produce in you. Just allow Him turn the tide of your life, allow Him change your story. Leave your life in His hands and I can assure you that He will make beauty out of your broken life.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for not only loving me but for being committed to change the trajectory of my life. I am broken and but I trust in You to make my life beautiful. I give all to You Lord, make my life beautiful and glorious for Your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
