Topic: The Churches: Laodicea [22/3/2016]
Text: Revelation 3:14-22

Today, the discuss is on the last Church in the classics of Revelation 2&3, Laodicea. This Church is supposed to be a sound Church, given the energy Apostle Paul expended on them. But they had some issues that bedeviled them. They were not committed wholeheartedly to the things of God.

The Church in Laodicea is a classic example of Christians that take God seriously when they have challenges, but give God the last place in their lives after God fixes the challenges they are faced with, thinking they have no need of God anymore. They are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold (Revelation 3:15). They are spiritually lacking in every area, because their concern is just with the physical (Revelation 3:17-18).

Unfortunately, as in other Churches we have seen, this category of people are aplenty in the Church of Christ today. God should not be a fixer only to you, He wants to stay with you. That’s why He is knocking at the door of your heart. Open the door of your heart and let Him dwell there permanently. You will be able to enjoy more then (Revelation 3:20). God’s love for you is so much. Give Him the chance for Him to express it in its fullness.

Embrace God fully to keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for Your love for Your Church. I pray, that every member of Your Church come into an intense fellowship with You that will make them spiritually balanced and equip to fulfill Your mandate in their lives, in Jesus name. Amen.
