Topic: The Churches: Thyatira [19/3/2016]
Text: Revelation 2:18-26
Scriptures tells about Jesus, Who set out to teach about the kingdom of God. He was very thorough and in-depth when He talked about the kingdom of God. Jesus knew that the best way to communicate the realities of the kingdom of God was through teaching. Matthew 4:23 affirms that “…Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom…”
The church in Thyatira is a wonderful church. Their work, love, faith patience and service to God was commendable (Revelation 2:19). But they had Jezebel, an acclaimed prophetess teaching doctrines of Satan, and seducing the servants of God into fornication through teaching false doctrine that are not reflective of the kingdom of God, but the kingdom of Satan.
The message of the Jesus is the kingdom of God. That is the only thing Jesus taught, and that is what should be taught in our congregationsl. There are only two kingdoms in existence, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. But we must make sure we teach and channel the heart of the church to the kingdom of God. That is the message we must bring to the fore.
Preach and teach the kingdom of God and keep winning daily.
Prayer:
Dear Father, I thank You for Your kingdom which has come to us. I pray that the message of Your Kingdom and not the kingdom of satan be taught in our congregations. That the realities of Your Kingdom be made known to us, in Jesus name. Amen.
