Topic: Either Ways, You Win [12/8/2016]

Text: Matthew 21:42-44

Our faith in Jesus has made us not only God’s chosen people, but, also an incurable winning people. We are in a battle, the battle of faith. Strategically, we have been programmed to always win in the battle of faith we encounter in life. This is a good battle  (1 Timothy 6:12). And we should be happy to be engaged in this battle.

One beautiful thing about the battle of faith we are in, is that there is never going to be a time we will be defeated. In a battle, there are defensive and offensive strategies. But for us, whether we are on the offensive or defensive, our victory is always sure. Scriptures say in Deuteronomy 28:7, that “the LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.” When the enemy is on the offensive, our victory is still certain.

Matthew 21:44 says:  “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.” We are the “stone” referred to in that scripture, in a sense. When the enemy come against us, they shall be broken to pieces. They shall be utterly dispersed when we come against them. Either ways, we have the assurance of victory, always. So, don’t be afraid when the enemies are raging against you. Just rejoice because your victory is sure. Hallelujah!!!
Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
When the enemies come against me, like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against them. They shall not survive my onslaught. I am always victorious, whether in defence or in offence; for the Lord my God has given me victory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
