Topic: The End In Mind [16/8/2016]

Text: Ecclesiastes 7:8

Vision is very important to success oriented people. It doesn’t provide the plan alone, but a perspective of the result. One of the things that keep successful people motivated is vision. They never take the expectation of their goal out of sight. When drawing up a strategic plan, the end, or the result of the plan is the most exciting part. There is a burst of adrenaline in you when you “see” what your effort will result into.

When you start off on your plan, things might not pan out the best way. But scriptures say in Ecclesiastes 7:8 “better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” It is the end that justifies the means, and that is what is most important. Because you have the end or result in mind, you will patiently stick in there no matter what.

The beginning might be small, but the end brings the increase. It brings the joy, the rejoicing, and the fulfilment. When you have the end in mind, there is this buzz about you, and your commitment to what you are doing never diminish. Keep your eyes on the end always. Don’t allow anything distract you from it. It is the prize you are pressing towards (Philippians 3:14). Count all other things that want to take your mind off the end as dung and keep your mind on the end.
Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
My mind has a vision. It keeps me motivated and focused. I set about achieving my goal with utmost commitment because I know the end product will bring me joy and fulfilment, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
