Topic: A Foretaste [7/3/2016]
Text: Romans 8:19-23 (TLB)
Our connection to God, through believing in Jesus Christ and accepting His sacrifice on the cross, qualifies us for a life time with God in eternity. But before then, there is a foretaste of eternity we are to enjoy here on earth, a sample of what eternity looks and feels like. And to ensure this, God gave us the Holy Spirit.
Scripture says in Romans 8:23 that, “even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory…(TLB)” God wants us to get familiar with what life in eternity is going to be, He wants us to know the supernatural life that awaits us. Precious people, it’s going to be a life of the miraculous and extraordinary. It’s going to be simply divine, no wonder God first made us partakers of that divine, superhuman, godlike nature here on earth (2 Peter 1:4). Hallelujah!
Beloved, I am excited about the life that awaits us in eternity, but I am not going to miss a bit of the foretaste of that life here on earth. And I am sure you are with me on this. As we cling to partnership with God’s Spirit, we are assured of this foretaste of eternity. Keep your partnership with the Holy Spirit revving and enjoy your divinity (divine nature) here on earth. Glory to God!!!

As you pray in other tongues, thank the Lord for making you partaker of His divine nature here on earth, and for giving the Holy Spirit that has come to give you a foretaste of eternity with God.
