Topic: If I Be Lifted Up [Monday, 19th Dec. 2016]

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:32

God’s intention was always to make Jesus Christ – God the Son – the focal point of the Godhead. Scriptures say in Colossians 2:9  “for in him – Jesus Christ – dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.” Jesus was God – the Word – manifested in the flesh. He is the full and exact expression of God (Hebrews 1:3). He is the central figure of the Godhead. No wonder, by Him all things pconsist (Colossians 1:17). And then, He said “and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” (John 12:32.)

When He said this, He wasn’t referring to man lifting Him up in praises. He was referring to His exaltation on the cross, which gave us victory from the bondage of satan. There is only one being that could have lifted Jesus up from the earth, and that is His Father. Scriptures say God the Father has highly exalted Jesus Christ, that at the mention of His name, every knee must bow, in heaven, on earth and under the earth (Phillipians 2:10). Jesus has been lifted up by His Father, and He is fulfilling His Word by drawing men to Himself as they accept His sacrifice on the cross.

Just like Moses lifted up the bronze serpent on a cross in the wilderness, that anyone who looked at it was healed from the serpent bite that the Lord sent into the camp of the Israelites, so also will anyone who look unto Jesus, Who was lifted up on the cross, receive life; His life. Jesus has been lifted up, and now He is drawing all men unto Himself. And with His lifting up, He has obtained a name that is above every name, that anyone who calls upon the name of Jesus, shall be saved (Acts 2-21). Call upon His exalted of Jesus Christ and be saved.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for submitting to the lifting of Your Father. Today men are thronging to you. And they will continue to throng to You always. And as more people call upon Your exalted name, they receive salvation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
