For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16)
The gospel – good news of Jesus – is the only instrument saddle with the ability to save. We are grappling with a society filled with not just only moral decadence but spiritual decadence. Everything in our society, from leadership, social interactions, economic transactions, legal matters, family, education, the list could go on and on, are in need of the saving power of God – the gospel. While there have been concerted effort at checkmating these social ills, things have rather grown worse.
The gospel is God’s power to save our leadership. It is God’s power to our politics. It is God’s power to save our legal system. It’s God’s power to save the young people. It is the power of God to save our education system. It is God’s power to save our families. It is God’s power to save every strata of our society. There is no other way to fix the myriad of problems plaguing us, except through the instrumentality of the gospel.
The gospel will not only save our society from the moral mess that it is in now, but will dig deep into the spirits of the players in our society and save them. That is why we must get the gospel out. If you are in a position of leadership, are you in politics, a key player in the economy, in the legal field, the medical field, or anywhere you are in the various facet of the society, God has placed you there to get the gospel out to your sphere of influence. He wants to save and His only power to save is the gospel. Get the gospel out.
