And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:19
Do you ever sit and imagine that your spiritual leaders have it all figured out, and things go pretty easy for them, unlike you “normal” human who has to go through the everyday bustles of life, and still learning Christ? Consciously or not we’ve all at a point had this notion. Some still have it, though some know better. The thing is our spiritual leaders are at the front line of the battle/race calling out commands and giving directives, grooming others and learning too. Then they still have to work out their own “salvation with fear and trembling”. This invariably means there is more work and duty for them than others, as they have to look out for themselves and also feed the sheep of the Master.
So as much as they have a role to play in our lives, we also have a role to play in theirs. And that role is to support them through prayer. Paul admonishes us in Ephesians 6:18-19 to pray “always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; And for me that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel.” This is “almighty” Paul asking the simple church of Ephesus to pray for him.
1 Timothy 2:1-3 says ” FIRST OF all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men, For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way. For such [praying] is good and right, and [it is] pleasing and acceptable to God our Savior,” (AMP). Praying for our leaders pleases God.

Take out time everyday to pray for those in authority over you.
