Topic: Quickening Of Our Body [6/3/2016]
Text: Romans 8:9-16
When we received Jesus as Lord over our lives, a new life begins, that is the life of the spirit. We are introduced into a new law of the Spirit, we are also inducted into a life powered by the Holy Ghost. So the Holy Ghost in us is a very vital component of our lives. But there is one important thing that the Holy Spirit does in us. He quickens or make alive our mortal bodies.
Scripture says in Romans 8:10-11, “and if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” The Holy Ghost in us makes us alive to the righteousness of God. So He quickens our mortal bodies to bring out the righteousness of God that we have received.
As we yield to the Holy Ghost’s prompting and leading, we are made alive, God’s ability to always do right is activated from our spirit to our mortal bodies. Is there any area of your life that you are struggling with, the Holy Ghost is making you responsive to the righteousness of God in you now, in Jesus name. Take advantage of the Holy Ghost today, and live out the rightness of God that you have received as you yield your mind to Him and His Word.

Prayer:
Dear God, thank You for Your Spirit that is in me. I am being quickened by the Holy Ghost to be responsive to Your righteousness which is in me. I produce the rightness of God always, in Jesus name. Amen.
