Topic: The Restoration [27/3/2016]
Text: Matthew 28:18
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, all power in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18). Yes indeed, all power in heaven and on earth, He has earned. Satan was cast out of heaven because He wanted to usurp God’s authority. On earth, he succeeded in usurping the god-man’s authority. What took place in Eden was the fight for the authority over the earth, and alas man, who received it from God, seeded it to Satan. So Satan said to Jesus in Luke 4:6 (AMP) “and…to you I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me…”
But when Jesus arose from the death, He had succeeded in wrestling the earth’s power, authority and glory from Satan, He had them all in His possession and He has given it unto the god-man, who has believed in Him, for “as many has received him, to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12). He has restored the power, authority and glory of the god-man to him. Eden’s lost battle was not the end, the victory of the grave swallowed it up. Glory to God!!!
So now, on all fronts, Satan is powerless, lost out in heaven, lost out in earth, and even under the earth, for “God…has given Jesus a name which is above every names…of things in heaven, and things in earth and things under the earth” (Philippians 2:9-10). The restoration has taken place for those who believe in this name, Jesus the Christ. Selah!!!

Go ahead and celebrate the victory of the grave as you sing Psalms and Hymns, and spiritual songs, making melody in your heart unto God. Do all in His name, Jesus.
