Topic: Satan cannot Prevail [Saturday, 8th April 2017]

And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros–a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra–a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. Matthew16:18

The church of God is not the building we come together to fellowship in. I am sure you know that by now. Apostle Peter became the rock – foundation – or we can say, the first convert of Jesus when he caught the revelation that Jesus is the Christ – Anointed Savior and the Son of God. And it is this same revelation every single member of the church today must have to become part of the church. That is, we must all recognize Jesus as the Son of God and Saviour of the world. It is this revelation Jesus told the Jews, that they couldn’t believe nor stomach, that they picked up stones to kill Him.

As the church, one thing you should know is this, SATAN CANNOT PREVAIL AGAINST YOU. Satan will never be so strong to the extent of overpowering you. He just can’t. Prevailing against you is something that Satan cannot do. It is very impossible to him. You don’t have to start thinking that Satan has one power to harm you. Harming you is beyond his reach. The truth is he cannot even hold out against you. He is not strong enough for a fight with you.

Check out what Jesus said in Luke 10:19. “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.” We have power over the enemy – Satan. To have power over someone means that the person is subject to you. Satan is your subject. Let me say it well. Satan is your servant. He is at your beck and call. He’s got nothing on him to enable him prevail against you. He is not capable of such move. Never live in fear of what he can do to you, because he can never hurt you.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for empowering me as part of Your Church, and making me Lord to Satan. He is my subject and he is incapable of hurting me. I rule over him and his cohorts, extinguishing his influence in my sphere of influence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
