Topic: Strength to Excel [29/8/2016]

Text: Isaiah 40:29-31

God’s intention for us is not just to get by in life but to for us to excel beyond our own comprehension. Scriptures talked about Isaac, that he waxed great and progressed until he became very great (Genesis 26:13-14). That is exactly the kind of life God wants for us and even much more. We are made to soar – to excel exceedingly.

For us to excel God knows we need strength because He  understands our frailties (Hebrews 4:15). That is why He said in Isaiah 40:29 that He gives “power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” God’s strength is made available to us to help us excel. When others are growing weary and falling in the journey of life, we will be mounting up with wings like eagles, running and not getting weary, walking and not fainting, because of the strength available to us always (Isaiah 40:30-31).

One of the ways we can leverage on God’s strength is in the place of fellowship with God’s Spirit. Ephesians  3:16 says God will strengthen us with might by his Spirit. When we have that sweet communion with God’s Spirit, we are always strengthened in ever increasing dimension. Another way is through studying of God’s Word. God’s Word is food to us and food gives strength. As we leverage on these media of strength, we cannot but excel in all that we do.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:
Thank You Lord for making strength to excel available to me. I take advantage of these channel of strength to excel, according to Your intention for me. My strength is renewed daily by You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
