Topic: Walking In His Step 1 [23/3/2016]
Text: Colossians 1:9-12
God is purpose driven. Everything He does, is tied towards His eternal purpose of redemption of mankind. He wants us to have this same mindset. He wants us to be purpose driven, always having in mind the bigger picture of God’s eternal purpose as we walk the earth. From the foundation of the world, God has foreordained us to be part of His redemption plan, playing active roles in it.
But we must first of all get a grip of what it entails for us to be fully engrafted into the business of redemption. God wants us to be filled with the knowledge of His will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that we can walk worthy of the Lord, unto all pleasing (Colossians 1:9-10). That is, we understand every step God takes as the leader, and we take same steps, fully aware of their implications.
This culminates in us living out the very life God has predestined us to live (Romans 8:29). Playing our roles effectively. So we take conscious assured steps, stepping on the footprint of God, as He leads us. No wonder, we cannot be at a disadvantage, because there and then, all elements in heaven and on earth will only work for our good (Romans 8:28), as we walk in the steps of God.

Prayer:
Dear Lord, thank You for engrafting me into Your plan for redemption and for choosing me to play an active role in it. I walk in Your steps at all times, as we match toward the eternal redemption of mankind, in Jesus name. Amen.
