Topic: Your Name In The Book [Tuesday, 24th Jan. 2017]

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20

Even as we advance the Kingdom of God by the demonstration of the power in the Kingdom, we must not lose sight of what is more important to us. Yes, God wants us to go forth, heal the sick, cast out devils, raise the dead, demonstrate the wisdom of the Spirit, etc, but the most important thing that their names are written in heaven. The best thing a man can boast of is being a citizen of Heaven.

Jesus, when He was on earth, sent out His disciples to go into cities to “heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you” (Luke 10:9). The disciples came back rejoicing, telling Jesus how devils were subject to them through His name ( John 10:17). But Jesus directed their attention to the most important thing that should always being joy to them, that their names are written in heaven.

King David talked about the joy of salvation in Psalm 50. That is what Jesus was reminding them about. The joy of being saved should never cease in our lives. While it is wonderful to demonstrate the power of the Kingdom, it is more important to be a citizen of the Kingdom. Let nothing else overshadow the joy of being a citizen of the Kingdom. It is this joy of salvation that strengthens you. Keep that joy alive always.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear loving Father, thank You for the privilege of being a part of Your Kingdom. I am glad and excited about the salvation You have procured for me. My faith in You is strengthened by the joy of salvation I have, in Jesus’ Name. Amen
