TOPIC: God Still Speaks (Open Heaven for Teens 21 November 2024)

READ: 1 Samuel 3:9-10
- Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
- And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
MESSAGE:
Many people wonder if it is possible to hear God speak in a world with so many voices. The key to hearing God’s voice is understanding His word because He often speaks through His word. Everything God says to His children, collectively or individually, is based on His Word. Thus, if you study His word, His voice will become clearer to you even in the midst of all the noise and distractions in the world.
Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom…’’ Proverbs 4:20 also says, “My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart’’. If you keep God’s word in your heart, you will find it easy to recognise His voice. Also, take a step further to meditate on His word continuously. When you meditate on God’s word, He will expand His word in your heart and in no time, you will be able to hear His voice audibly. In addition, pray in the Holy Ghost often. This will help you to condition your spirit to recognise God’s voice.
PRAYER POINT:
Father, please help me to hear Your voice when you speak.
