THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To know the Word of God is to know the character of God.
Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2024 MESSAGE:
The word of God is the container of the character of God.
Our anchor Scripture reveals that the promises of the Bible, the Word of God, have been given to us to make us partakers of the Divine Nature or the Character of God.
So, the Word of God reveals the character of God. To know the Word of God is to know the character of God; and to be disconnected from the Word of God is to be disconnected from the Character of God.
The person or character of God can be contacted from the Word of God, and so the easiest way to absorb the Character of God is to be buried in the Word of God.
Now, why do we need character?
One reason why we need character is that character determines destiny.
Godly character is needed because your character determines your destiny in this world and in the world to come.
For example, Cain was a bitter person, and it was that character of bitterness and hatred that led him to kill his brother, Abel. At the end of the day, God placed a curse upon him, and that made him a vagabond and fugitive on the earth.
Sometime ago, someone who died and saw the vision of heaven before coming back to life said he saw many righteous people in heaven, and one of them was Abel, but that he did not see Cain.
You see, your character determines your destiny, and the Word of God is a tool for building the Character and Nature of God in you.
Always maintain contact with the Word through consistent study and meditation for the transformation of your character and the fulfilment of your destiny.
Remember this: To know the Word of God is to know the character of God.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Give yourself to diligent study of the Word to absorb the life and character of God.
- Obey and practice instructions from God’s Word.
PRAYER: Father, I receive the grace and discipline to maintain contact with Your Word so I can reflect your Character and Nature. Make me a reflection of Your Image on earth, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
