BIBLE READING: Proverbs 6:6-11
6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?
10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
MESSAGE:
God values diligence and hard Work. The Bible says that those who are faithful in little will be entrusted with more (Luke 16:1-10). When some people see sUccessful men or Women, they envy them. However, what they do not know is that success does not happen by luck; it requires patience, Consistency, and the willingness to keep going even when things are tough.
Today’s Bible reading shows that ants work tirelesslų without supervision, and they store food for their future. This is a lesson for all Christians to be proactive, disciplined, and committed to hard work. It is not Christian-like’ for a child of God to be mediocre in his or her academics, career, or ministry. God wants His children to put in their best efforts into everything they do.
My dear child, I implore you to be hardworking and avoid procrastination, laziness, and excuses at all costs. Set goals for yourself in every area of your life. Start all your tasks early and complete them with diligence. Your studies or career is a pathway through which God intends to bless you; don’t let laziness rob you of God’s blessings.
KEY POINT
Hard work opens doors of opportunity and leads to lasting success.
