TOPIC: Faithful In Little (Scroll down for RCCG House Fellowship 8 November 2026 Anthem)

OPENING PRAYER: Lord, give me the heart of a faithful steward, help me to honour You in small things.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leader is to remind the members about last week’s lesson on “faithful to the end”.

MEMORY VERSE: And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. – Luke 19:17 (KJV)

BIBLE TEXT: Luke 19:12-24 (KJV)

12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: The Almighty God tests with little before entrusting us with much. Men celebrate results; God celebrates faithfulness. In Luke 19, Jesus shows that God’s promotion in the kingdom is not accidental; it is the reward for faithfulness in seemingly small matters.

LESSON AIM: To help members understand that faithfulness is proven, not proclaimed.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:

  1. Understand being faithful in little.
  2. Know the consequences of being faithful in little.

TEXT REVIEW: Luke 19:12-24

a. Believers are to occupy till the Master comes.
b. Every believer is saddled with the responsibility to invest while the Master is gone.
c. To every opportunity received from the Master, accountability will be rendered and rewarded.
d. Unprofitable servants will be punished and destabilised

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: FAITHFUL IN LITTLE

God will always entrust little before committing much into His children’s hands. David was trusted with the little assignment of taking care of his father’s sheep, and he succeeded. Are you committed to that little assignment God has given you? Little is the classroom of greatness.

WHAT IS FAITHFULNESS?

  1. Doing the right thing when no one is watching.
  2. Being consistent when no one is watching, serving God when it seems unnoticed.
  3. Being diligent when the environment is discouraging. Heaven takes records of small daily obedience.
  4. Get going when others are surrendering to the dictates of the flesh. Proverbs 1:10.
  5. Not allowing the perilous time to swallow what God has assigned to you as divine tasks. Gehazi succumbed to the lust of the eyes, Achan died because of the things of the world. 1 John 2:15-17

LESSON OUTLINE TWO: CONSEQUENCES OF BEING FAITHFUL

  1. Faithful in little shows your trust in God, your value for God’s assignment.
  2. It brings divine promotion. David moved from being a shepherd boy to becoming king of Israel.
  3. It attracts more responsibility, more influence and more open doors.
  4. Faithful in little receives divine boosting in character, stewardship, integrity and consistency.
  5. It promotes greatness for those who assume greatness through acts of faithfulness
  6. It attracts more gains of resources and opportunities.

SUMMARY: Be faithful, serve with diligence, never despise the days of little beginnings. What you do with the little determines what heaven commits to you next.

CONCLUSION: God is watching what you do with the little in your hands. Little doors open big palaces, and little obedience births big testimonies. David was called to play the instrument for King Saul, without hesitation, he did and gained access to God’s mind.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, as I remain faithful in little things, let my life qualify for divine enlargement and promotion.
  2. Father, destroy every spirit of carelessness or negligence assigned to ruin my life.
  3. Lord, help me to serve You joyfully and faithfully in every responsibility.
  4. Father, deliver me from the spirit of despising small beginnings.
  5. O God, grant me the grace to value every assignment You gave me.
