TOPIC – Always Be Battle Ready (Open Heaven for Teens, 17 June 2026)
MEMORISE: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. – Ephesians 6:10
BIBLE READING: Ephesians 6:10-12
12 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
MESSAGE:
A Christian teenager who has chosen to live for God and serve Him will face certain battles. The devil will test the convictions of such a teenager and try to discourage him or her from following God. In 1 Samuel 17, Goliath and the Philistines waged war against the Israelites. However, David faced him, not with physical armour, but with faith in God and deep trust in His power. He declared, “The battle is the Lord’s.” and God granted him victory.

Beloved, if you have given your life to Jesus Christ, you have become a threat to the kingdom of darkness, and you are now in a spiritual battle against evil forces. not defenceless.
In today’s Bible reading, Apostle Paul admonished that we put on the armour of God in order to stand against the wiles of the devil. My dear child, in order to fight against the devil and his agents, the pieces of armour to put on are: embracing honesty and integrity in all you do, living righteously by making choices that align with God’s standards, sharing the message of peace through Christ, trusting in God’s promises even when challenges arise, letting the assurance of salvation guard your thoughts, studying and memorizing Scriptures to combat lies and temptations, and staying connected to God through prayers.
KEY POINT:
Equip yourself daily with God’s armour.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Luke 1:24-56, Deuteronomy 33-34
HYMN: HO, MY COMRADES
1 Ho, my comrades! see the signal
Waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing,
Victory is nigh!
Chorus
“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still,
Wave the answer back to heaven,
“By Thy grace we will, “
2 See the mighty host advancing
Satan leading on:
Mighty men around us falling,
Courage almost gone!
3 See the glorious banner waving!
Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s name we’ll triumph
Over ev’ry foe!
4 Fierce and long the battle rages,
But our help is near:
Onward comes our great
commander,
Cheer, my comrades, cheer!
