BIBLE PASSAGE: Genesis 26:12-14 (KJV)

12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him.

13 And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:

14 For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him.

INTRODUCTION: Wealth creation is about building financial resources and assets to achieve security and independence, supporting oneself and others now and in the future. Guided by God’s wisdom (Isaiah 48:17), it involves applying biblical principles such as diligence (Proverbs 10:4), hard work, integrity, generosity, and responsible stewardship, while aligning financial goals with God’s will and putting faith into action (James 2:18-20). LESSON AIM: To teach the church how to create wealth.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: Through this study, students should be able to:

a. Give the meaning of wealth creation.
b. Understand how to apply biblical principles.
c. Mention some of the legitimate opportunities available for wealth creation

There are numerous legitimate opportunities for wealth creation by leveraging skills, interests, and current socio-economic trends (Genesis 47:3-4, Ecclesiastes 9:10, Proverbs 14:23):

  1. Technology and Digital Skills: Web design, app development, digital marketing, and freelancing platforms.
  2. E-commerce and Online Businesses: Shipping, print-on-demand selling and affiliate marketing.
  3. Investments in the Financial Market: Stock market, bonds, cryptocurrency, and real estate (e.g., rental properties or crowdfunding).
  4. Creative Arts and Media: Content creation (YouTube, podcasting, blogging), photography, videography, graphic design, and writing/publishing.
