OPENING PRAYER
Thank You, Father.
Hallelujah!
Well, let’s lift our hands to the Almighty God and bless His Holy Name.
Let’s give Him glory; let’s give Him honour and give Him adoration.
Thank Him for how good He has been to you and how good He has been to your family.
Thank Him for His help, His protection, and His assistance.
Give Him glory, give Him honour. He is worthy to be praised.
Thank Him, we are already in September, and September means the year is running to an end.
Praise Him; He is good. His mercy endureth forever. Thank You, Lord.
Thank You; thank You; thank You.
Thank You for me; thank You for my family. Thank You for Your church. Thank You for our nation, Lord.
Thank You for Your mercy and thank You for Your support. Glory be to God. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, we have prayed — Amen!
Now, I want you to please lift up your heart to God and say: Father, we are committing all Your children who are in the legal profession into your hands.
Give them wisdom, give them understanding, give them courage, let it be well with them, and let it be well with their families.
Go ahead and pray for these wonderful people. Wonderful children of God, the legal professionals: lawyers, judges, and all of them.
All of them, Father, give them wisdom and give them understanding. Support them, protect them.
Take care of them and their families. Let them find favour with You, Lord, and let them find favour with men.
Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, we have prayed.
Pray for yourself and say: Father, in this particular month, let it be wonderful for me.
Go ahead; talk to the Almighty. Let it be wonderful for me, oh Lord.
Thank You, Jesus. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, we have prayed — Amen!

King of kings and Lord of lords, the Ancient of Days. We give You glory, we give You honour, and we give You adoration.
Oh, thank You, thank You, thank You. Thank You for our Convention last month. Thank You for the mountains that were moved for us.
Thank You for the great things that You alone could have done. Please accept our thanks in Jesus’ Name.
Almighty God, thank You for bringing us to another new year in the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
Thank You for Your children who are busy winning souls, planting churches, and doing everything You asked them to do. Thank You, our Father.
Thank You for Your children who are faithful in the payment of their tithes and in the giving of their offerings. Thank You, Almighty God.
Thank You for Your children who are lawyers, judges, and all Your children in the legal profession. Thank You, Father.
Today, we pray that all these Your children in the legal profession, bless them.
Give them the wisdom of Solomon. Give them the courage of Daniel. Let it be well with them.
Please, protect them. Support them, and protect them. Take care of their families. Lord, each time we hear concerning any of these, Your children, let it be good news.
As for Your children who have been faithful in doing their duties, keep on surprising them.
For everyone of Your children, let this month be a mighty month for all of us.
Thank You, Almighty God. Let our tomorrow be alright. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, we have prayed
— Amen!
Well, let someone shout Hallelujah — Hallelujah!
Well, this is the beginning of our New Year. So, shake hands with one or two people and say, “Happy New Year.”
THE MESSAGE
Text — Isaiah chapter 9
6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
We all know that Jesus has many names.
If you see Him today, He would call Himself the Son of God; tomorrow, He would say, “I’m the Son of Man.”
Another time, He would say, “I’m the Lamb of God.” Next time He rolls two names together and says, “I’m the Resurrection and the Life.”
Another time, He would put three names together: The Way, the Truth and the Life.
In this passage we just read, He has put five together: Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
There was even a place where He felt five is not enough. He calls Himself the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, the End, the One who was, the One who is, the Almighty God.
I like Jesus Christ, He loves names. The point is that every name of His has a meaning and purpose.
WONDERFUL COUNSELLOR
WONDERFUL
Wonderful is a combination of two words: wonder and full. When you call Him Wonderful, it means full of wonders.
Everything about Jesus Christ is a wonder.
His birth is a wonder.
Luke 1:26-38.
When a virgin conceives without meeting a man, whatever comes out of that connection must be a wonder.
When you think about all that He does like walking on water; Matthew 14:22-33.
For someone to raise up somebody who has been dead and buried for four days, surely, that is a wonder. John 11:1-44.
The interesting thing is that He can do a wonder for you; He can break protocols to make sure you get a wonder. Matthew 8:1-4.
DECREE
Every protocol that God has to break to bring you your wonder shall be broken.
He can do more than that; He can turn you into a wonder. Mark 5:2-20.
PRAYER
This month, God will do something for you that will be a wonder to the world.
There is Somebody who can turn you into a wonder; may that be done for you.
His death was a wonder. John 10:17-18.
His resurrection, to me, is probably the biggest wonder of all.
PRAYER
I’m praying for all of you who are here today and those who are listening to me wherever you are, next time i hear from you, you will have a wonderful story to tell.
DECREE
I decree to somebody in the Name that is above every other name that you shall weep no more.
PRAYER
Receive the kind of joy that will make you speechless today in the Name that is above every other name.
If you are trusting God for a miracle here, my God will surprise you.
You will get a miracle that will exceed your expectations.
COUNSELLOR
A counsellor is an adviser. A counsellor is someone you go to when you have a problem that you can’t solve.
You only go to someone for advice if you know the person is wiser and more intelligent than you. Someone who can show you a way out.
Proverbs 15:22 “Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.”
Matthew 22:16-22; superior wisdom.
Matthew 22:21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.
John 8:3-11.
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
GOOD NEWS
All those who are plotting against you, all those who are working against you so that people could say, “Where is your God?” They shall be disappointed.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the great advocate, and I want to give you one of His pieces of advice for free.
In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, I discovered three verses of the Scripture that can change your life completely forever.
1 Thessalonians chapter 5:16-18
16 Rejoice evermore.
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Three pieces of advice:
- Rejoice evermore.
When you wake up in the morning, forget every problem. Just rejoice; shout Hallelujah.
Don’t worry yourself about the problems of the day. Just wake up in the morning and shout Hallelujah. - Pray without ceasing.
Commit the day to God’s hand. He took care of you yesterday, and He hasn’t gone to bed; He doesn’t sleep; He doesn’t slumber. - In everything, give thanks.
With all the responsibilities of being a General Overseer in a church like the Redeemed Christian Church of God and I’m still here thanking God for the miraculous interventions in our churches here and there, I thank God and that is why my blood pressure remains normal.
You don’t have to worry; there is Somebody who will take care of you.
Is it your wisdom that keeps you going? No.
AN ADVOCATE
An advocate is someone who stands in to help when you run into trouble, particularly with law.
1 John 2:1 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
Romans 8:31-34.
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
CATEGORIES OF ADVOCATES
- Good ones.
Give you good advice. - Better ones.
Give you good advice for free. - But there is no advocate that I know among men that is like Jesus Christ.
Why? Because this is the only Advocate I know who goes to the judge and says, “My client is guilty as charged. However, release him and take Me instead.”
I haven’t found an advocate like that.
Only Jesus did that, and that is why He is called Wonderful Counsellor.
That is exactly what I’m trying to get across to those of you who have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ.
Come to the only Advocate who would go before the Almighty God and say, “Hey! I know he is guilty as charged, but I have shed my Blood for him. I have died in His place. Let Him go free.”
Jesus died in your place; come, accept what He is offering. He is offering you forgiveness, healing, deliverance, and a perpetual advocate before the Almighty God.
To ignore such an offer is not the evidence of someone who is learned.
ALTAR CALL
If you are here and you want to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, please come and stand in front of the Altar, and I will join you in prayer.
God will save your soul. His Blood will wash away your sins, and from this moment onward, you will have an Advocate before the Almighty God. Come now.
TALK TO THE ALMIGHTY GOD: I know I am guilty, but I have come to You so that You can forgive me, save my soul, and I will serve You for the rest of my life.
Go ahead; talk to the Lord.
LET’S INTERCEDE FOR THEM
The rest of us, please stretch your hands towards these people and intercede for them.
Pray that the One who saved your soul will save their own souls also.
So, my Father and my God, I want to thank You very much. Thank You for Your Word, and thank You for the people who have come forward to surrender their lives to You.
Father, please receive them. Have mercy on them. Save their souls. Let Your Blood wash away their sins.
Let them become members of the family of God. Write their names in the Book of Life.
From now on, anytime they call on You, answer them by fire. On the day of judgement, remember today and set them free completely in Jesus’ Name.
Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, we have prayed — Amen.
Praise the Lord — Hallelujah!
SPECIAL PRAYER
How many of you feel that you need God’s help? You really need His help. Well, stand on your feet and shout Hallelujah — Hallelujah!
My Father and my God, I want to thank You very much for all Your children.
You are the greatest of all advocates, and we are Your children now, and we need help.
We sincerely need You to break every rule, every protocol, and every law in order for You to give us our miracles. Father, please do so today.
In a manner that will cause Your children never to forget today, please Lord, answer our prayers.
Surprise us, oh Lord. Beyond our wildest expectations, Lord, surprise us.
Everything we need that will make our joy overflow, Father, give unto us.
You are the One who said we should rejoice forevermore. Almighty God, from this day onward, every day we wake up, let us wake up rejoicing.
You asked us to pray, and we are praying now, Father, grant our requests.
You said in everything we are to give thanks, the grace to remember that whatever may be happening to us as Your children is going to end up in a testimony, Father, give that grace to us in Jesus’ Name.
Let it be well with all of us, and let us serve you till the end. In Jesus’ Mighty Name, we have prayed — Amen.
LORD, HELP ME
Now, we are all going to pray. Forget who is on your right and left and talk to the Almighty God.
You know the area where you need help.
Just say: Lord, help me. Please, You are my Advocate; help me. Help me, oh Lord
