As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, the immediate past Kogi State Deputy Governor, Yomi Awoniyi has sent his warm wishes of felicitation to people of the State.
Awoniyi urged for continuous prayers for the peace, progress and development of the state particularly in this season.
Awoniyi, asked Christians to show love to one another, especially to the less privilege and the needy in the society.
While noting that the present economic challenge facing the nation is only for awhile, he appealed for government policies at all levels that would enhance the well being of the people.
The significance of Christ resurrection, Awoniyi maintained is reconciliation, love and sacrifice, urged Nigerians to despite the several challenges they nation may be passing through, imbibe the spirit of forgiveness and love one another.
Christ, Awoniyi explained shed his blood to save mankind, appealed to Nigerians to be their brothers keepers as well as abhor violence for the significance of Easter to be achieved in their lives.
While calling on Nigerians to turn away from life styles that can hamper the nations development and unity, he harped on the need to embrace the good examples of jesus christ who lived a life of sacrifice, called on christians not to relent in their prayers for the continuous peace and unity of the country.
