For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. Proverbs 23:18. Read: Mk 11:22-26

Expectations gives birth to manifestations. What you don’t expect in your heart and life you cannot have in your hand. Expectations gives birth to greatness. Lack of expectation is liken to being a babe. One of the characters that went into the King’s presence without expectation was the daughter of the herodians and she ran to her mother who misled her. Expectation guides you in life endeavour to reach your height in destiny. One of the reasons why it seems as if prayers are not answered is because, many of us either go into God’s presence with blank heart or heart full of ulterior motives that covet other people’s achievements and fail to cultivate theirs. David said, “My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him”. Ps 62:5.

There’re two kinds of expectations. (1) Righteous Expectation (positive). Only the righteous with expectations can have their heart desires granted. This means that, the righteous without expectations are already cut off. (2) Wicked Expectations (negative). The expectations of the wicked shall surely perish. The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. Pro 10:28. All wicked imagination and expectations will not prosper but perish.
