CGMI Above Only 30 November 2017, Devotional by Rev. M.E. Benson-Idahosa - Divine Internal Renewal

Topic: Divine Internal Renewal — Thursday November 30, 2017.

Text: Proverbs 18:14 (NIV), 2 Corinthians 4:16-18a (NLT)

A man’s spirit sustains him in sickness, but a crushed spirit who can bear? *That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.

You are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. Your spirit is the real you and it is the condition of your spirit that sustains and regulates the condition of every other area of your life. When you became born again by believing in Jesus and confessing Him as your Lord and Saviour, you became new and received the grace and the life of God into your spirit. You bear the image of God and the fullness of Christ in your spirit. It is from your spirit that the grace and life of God flows into every area of your life. It is from your spirit that God directs and shines His light into every area of your life, Prov.20:27.

No matter what is happening to you on the outside, if you are strong in your spirit, the strength of God will supernaturally flow from your spirit to give you strength on the outside. Be concerned about the strength and the growth of your spirit man more than the strength and growth of every other area of your life. Allow the Holy Spirit to continually strengthen you with His might in your inner man, Eph.3:16. You will be divinely filled with faith and courage to be strong and do exploits. You will be able to see and live by your divine realities in God. You will function beyond the natural realm and limitations. Keep being refreshed and renewed from your inside. Feed on the word of God and pray continually. Fellowship with other believers and engage in spiritual exercises. Keep investing in your spiritual growth. See yourself and live by who you are in the spirit.

Prayer Focus: Pray in the Spirit right now and declare that God’s strength, wisdom and power flow out from your spirit into every area of your life.

Empowered to do Exploits…
