A story was told of a lady who received a tract from a preacher, without reading it, puts it inside her bag and zipped it up. On her way, she had an accident and died. Getting to the pearly gate of heaven to enter into heaven, the angel denied her entry because she was not saved. She told the angel that she has never heard the Gospel while on earth, but the angel told her, but the tract you received is still inside your bag. The tract spake against her because she procrastinated her Salvation.
Many of us have heard the Gospel hundred times, yet, we refuse to give our lives to Christ. We have knowledge of the way of the LORD, we know that Jesus Christ is the only way, still we refuse to walk in this truth. Governor Felix in our text had ample opportunity to repent, he failed to turn to Jesus but looked forward for a convenient time to do so. He missed it forever because he was overthrown by another Governor. Don’t wait for the convenient time to turn to God for every time is convenient to turn to Jesus – even now.
