And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings. Luke 1:19. Read: Luke 1:28-38
Angels are spirit beings created by God Almighty for many reasons which are mentioned below.
1) Angels Are To Worship God: The very first purpose why God created angels is to worship Him. On the Isle of Patmos, John said, And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne… and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain… Rev 5:11-12. Their numbers are countless, they worshipped God day and night. This makes Heaven a bubbling place.
2) Angels Are God’s Messenger: As numerous angels are, they all have name, but few of their names are mentioned in the Bible. For instance, Angel Michael is the battle axe of God, he is the leader of the angels after Lucifer rebelled and was thrown down. Rev. 12:7. According to Luke 1:11-29, 28-38, Angel Gabriel is a messenger that delivers God’s message to His children daily as seen in Zechariah and Mary
3) Angels Are Ministering Spirits: Angels are Ministering spirits to the heirs of Salvation – the Believers. Angels are there to assist us on our journey on earth, they are to protect and guide us against every dangers. When you pray, God give them charge to rescue us. Ps. 92:11-12. Angels rescued Lot and his family from destruction. Gen. 19. We shall continue tomorrow.
