A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Avoiding Bitterness

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; Hebrews 12:15. Read: Ephesians 4:29-32

Bitterness is drown out of offences and Jesus said, ‘It is impossible but that offences will not come’. Luke 17:1. We harbour bitterness, hatred, resentment against one another as a result of offences. For instance, a lady jilted by a man will harbour bitterness against such man which she might probably not trust men again. A father who commit incense with her daughter has created bitterness in his daughter’s heart. We become bitter when we receive unfair treatment, when we sought for help from those whom we think can help, but disappoint us; when things are not going the way we planned, even when we feel that God has failed us, we get bittered. Brother Job felt the same thing, as a result he cursed the day he was born. Prophet Elijah asked God to take his life. The question is, since offences will come, how can one avoid bitterness that stem from it?

1) You Can Avoid Them. Bible says, Mark them which causes division and offences and avoid them. Rom 16:17. 2) Be Peaceful With All Men If Possible. 3) Ask God For Grace To Forgive All Offenders. 4) Replace All Bitterness With God’s Divine Love. Harry Fosdick said, Bitterness imprisons life; love releases it. Bitterness paralyzes life; love empowers it. Bitterness sours life; love sweetens it. Bitterness sickens life; love heals it. Bitterness blinds life; love anoints its eyes. Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness.

* Don’t be imprison by bitterness, release yourself by releasing your Offenders
