Topic — The Fear Of The Lord: A Key To Safety [Seeds of Destiny Saturday March 24, 2018]

Scripture: The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil. Proverbs 19:23

Thought For The Day: Whatever makes you guilty, makes you vulnerable to destruction.

It is established from our anchor scripture that the fear of God prolongs man’s life; it brings satisfaction and establishes the righteous in safety. The life of Job corroborates this fact. In Job 1:1, the Bible reveals that Job was a perfect and upright man. He feared God and eschewed evil and because of this, God made a hedge of protection around him. This means that, the fear of the LORD is a shield against the visitation of evil and establishes divine protection around a person.

Now, what is the fear of God all about? The fear of the Lord is to hate evil (Proverbs 8:13).

The question is, what happens where the fear of the Lord is absent in a person’s life? The absence of the fear of the Lord is the violation of the conscience. A person who does not fear God violates his conscience freely and establishes himself in a life of guilt; and whatever makes one guilty, makes one vulnerable to destruction. A person who does not fear God exists without human feeling and hurts others mindlessly. The end result of such lifestyle is destruction.

Beloved, ensure that you live in the fear of God and keep a healthy conscience in order to have guaranteed safety in God.

Remember This: Whatever makes you guilty makes you vulnerable to destruction.
