Open Heavens for Teens

Topic: God’s Heartbeat [Teens’ Open Heavens 24th, March 2018]

Memorise: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth Him of the evil. Joel 2:13

Read: Isaiah 55:7

7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Bible In One Year: Joshua 11-13, Luke 4:1-32

MESSAGE:

When God made man in the Garden of Eden, He loved to fellowship with him, but all of a sudden sin separated God from man and this really hurt God. Because of the separation from God, man slipped deeply into the arms of sin. In fact, in the days of Noah, human beings were so sinful that the Bible says God regretted that He had made man (Genesis 6:6). Because of how much He cares for us human beings and how He does not want us to be destroyed by our sins, He sent His only begotten Son to die for us, just to give us a pure link to salvation. God’s heartbeat is that human beings leave their sinful ways and return to His light.

How do you feel when you see people committing sin around you? Are you indifferent or do you feel what God feels? Are you too shy to tell them about Jesus? God is counting on you to share the gospel with sinners. Every good child will pursue the joy of his father. What are you doing to reconnect sinners back to the Father?

Key Point: God cherishes those who win souls, when last did you tell someone about Jesus?

Hymn 15:

1. Wonderful story of love;
Tell it to me again;
Wonderful story of love;
Wake the immortal strain!
Angels with rapture announce it,
Shepherds with wonder receive it;
Sinner, 0h, won’t you believe It?
Wonderful story of love.

Chorus:
Wonderful! Wonderful!
Wonderful, Wonderful story of love.

2. Wonderful story of love,
Though you are far away;
Wonderful story of love;
Still He doth call today;
Calling from Calvary’s mountain,
Down from the crystal-bright fountain,
E’en from the dawn of creation,
Wonderful story of love.

3. Wonderful story of love:
Jesus provides a rest;
Wonderful story of love;
For all the pure and blest,
Rest in those mansions above us,
With those who’ve gone on before us,
Singing the rapturous chorus,
Wonderful story of Love
