Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Hebrews 4:6. Read: Heb 4:1-11
Israel is a nation loved, protected and provided for by God. God rescued them from Egypt the land of bondage and promised to take them to a land that flows with milk and honey – a land of rest from all their labours. But oftentimes, you discover they rebel against God and God called them stiff-necked because of their continued rebellion. As a result of their unbelief, God said to them, because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it. Num 14:22-23.
The second thing that would guarantee your all-round rest this month and beyond is obedience to the voice of God. Apart from faith, you need to obey the voice of the Spirit of God to guide you into your rest. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. John 2:5. And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21. You need faith and obedient heart to enter into your rest.
