Topic: You Belong To The Family Of God [TREM Devotional 14 January 2019]

“Now, therefore, ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God”. Ephesians 2:19 KJV

In Matthew 4:3, when the devil came to tempt Jesus, he said to him, “if thou be the son of God…”. This was after God the Father had just said: “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matthew 3:17 KJV). The devil wanted Jesus to suffer from ‘identity crisis,’ that is why he said to Him ‘if thou be’. In other words, are you sure that you are the Son of God? The only proof to show that you are the Son of God is to turn stone to bread. Child of God, don’t wait for something to happen before you know that you are His son. That is the trick the devil plays against us. He would tell you, if you are truly the son of God, how come the baby hasn’t come or how come you are not yet healed? Beloved, you have been a child of God before the baby issue

You should run based on whom you know and not on the devil’s own terms. You shouldn’t be running based on what he is telling you, but on whom you know! When I hear that believers are running from house to house, from pillar to post and from church to church, all in search for deliverance, it just shows how ignorant they are. All that such people need is a revelation. You may say, “but Brother Mike, you know they said that the issue runs in our family”. My question is, which family? Which family are you really talking about? Are you talking about Okonkwo’s family? No! You belong to the family of God and nothing evil runs in the family of God.

Stop letting people make merchandise of you. Stop letting people intimidate and manipulate you. Jumping from one ‘deliverance house’ to the other can make you end up imbibing demonic spirits, and you would be wondering how you got it. It is because you entered into error!
