Fulfilling Your Dream Marriage

Topic: Fulfilling Your Dream Marriage

Dear Reader,

A lot of people have dreams about what they want to see happen in their marriages and families. A dream is a wonderful thing. It can give you hope for your future and encourage you to try when all odds are against you. Ephesians 3:20-21 sums it up this way: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Marriage is a passage from one phase of life to another; a step forward that marks your progress in life. Everyone has a dream or vision of the kind of home they will like to have. Everyone dreams of a joyful, peaceful and fruitful home. God created marriage for the fulfillment of these dreams and aspirations. Marriage is an exciting experience, if husband and wife are ready to pay the price. This month, it’s my pleasure to share with you what I titled “Fulfilling Your Dream Marriage.”

A lot of Christians dream of a sweet home as a place where joy, peace, prosperity and fruitfulness abound. If you are married and your dream for marriage seems not to be finding fulfillment, receive grace for a new beginning in Jesus’ name. This week, I will be sharing with you on “Taking Responsibility.”

Responsibility, as my husband will always say, is the mother of manifestation. Until you take responsibility for your life, you are never responsible. Therefore, marriage itself is a responsibility.  God’s Word says: Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle (Deuteronomy 2:24). Although, fulfillment in marriage is God’s will for you, but it does not come by chance, neither is it an accidental occurrence. No one ever wakes up to find fulfillment in any area of life. No! It takes conscious, deliberate, and calculated steps to realise your marriage dream. You must work it out, for nothing works on its own. The fact that many are frustrated, unhappy, fed up, and failing does not, however, tamper with the truth of God’s Word. Your marriage is designed for fulfillment. This truth must be appreciated to be appropriated.

God intended marriage to be a sweet and a peaceful one for His children. God’s Word says: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11).

If you see or think anything less than what God sees and thinks about you, then your home will be experiencing and enjoying less than God’s idea. Your perspective of issues often affects your confession and your confession determines your possession (Mark 11:23).

Caleb and Joshua exempted themselves from ten other spies who saw themselves as grasshoppers. They saw themselves as being well able to possess the land of promise so they spoke it out and it became theirs (Numbers 13:30).

The knowledge of God’s purpose and idea for the home is important; without this knowledge you may be forced by things and circumstances to settle for second best. It will make you end up being stripped of the dignity and honour God desires for you to enjoy. Take for instance, a single man or woman about entering into marriage with the belief that “it is not possible to be married and not quarrel with your spouse”, such a person will definitely experience not only quarreling but fighting too. To be free from experiencing that, such a person must agree with God’s Word that says: Two are better than one…. (Ecclesiastes 4:9), that marital life is made for better living and that it is possible to enter a better phase of understanding between the two of you than you experienced even in courtship.

You need knowledge to be able to see beyond the happenings in your environment. If God said that it is possible to have a fulfilled marital life, then you have no choice rather than to accept what God has said and put your effort together to make it work. God’s Word says: For with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). He can give you the grace to enjoy a hitch-free marriage and home.

If you expect woes in marriage and in your home, you will have more woes to contend with. So, see a blissful home free of tensions and worries and God will fulfill your expectations.

To have what it takes to have a dream come true in your marriage and home, you need to surrender your life to Christ. This entails confessing your sins and accepting Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour. If you are ready for this new birth experience, please say this prayer of faith with me:  “Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”

If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, congratulations, you are born again! You are now a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).

With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace in Jesus’ Name. Call or write to share your testimonies with me through contact@faithoyedepo.org, 07026385437 OR 08141320204.
