READ: Psalms 121:1-2

  1. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
  2. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Job 10-12, Acts 8:1-40

MESSAGE:

One of my sons in the Lord usually says Your help is not from abroad but from above. God is the One above who controls everything above and below. When a believer cries for help, the Lord hears and rescues him. In one of our special programmes, I prayed that God would help people pay up their debts miraculously. After the meeting, one of my daughters who was highly indebted was called by those she was owing and they asked her when she would pay up. She replied, I don’t know because if I pay you a million naira every day for the rest of my life, I might not pay the debt. So, they said, In that case, we cancel your debt. God is able to pick you out of the valley and put you on the hilltop.

Beloved, man can fail you, even your parents can disappoint but God will not. This is why you have to look up to Him for help whenever you are in need. Do you know that when you look up to God for help, your needs will be met faster than when you ask your parents first?

KEY POINT:

Help from above is the fastest and most reliable

HYMN 14: Let Others See Jesus In You

  1. While passing through this world of sin,
    And others your life shall view,
    Be clean and pure without, within,
    Let others see Jesus in you.

CHORUS
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you;
Keep telling the story,
be faithful and true,
Let others see Jesus in you.

  1. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
    They’re reading it through and through;
    Say, does it point them to the skies,
    Do others see Jesus in you?
  2. What joy ’twill be at set of sun,
    In mansions beyond the blue,
    To find some souls that you have won;
    Let others see Jesus in you.
  3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
    Be faithful, be brave, and true,
    And lead the lost to life and light;
    Let others see Jesus in you.
